Emigrating to the United States in the 1930s and eventually settling in Philadelphia, she continued to paint.  She has exhibited at the Philadelphia Art Museum, The Philip and Muriel Berman Art Museum in Erwinna, and the William Penn Museum in Harrisburg. Bernice Paul's vibrant style has earned many awards, including a gold medal from the Philadelphia Sketch Club, gold and silver medals from the Plastic Club, first prizes at the Upper Merion Cultural Center, and Best in Show at the Main Line Center for the Arts.
